Painter Jobs In Australia

When it comes to cabinetry and joinery, it’s the final finish that truly brings a project to life and earns a client’s trust. We are looking for a dedicated Painter to join our team in Dandenong, someone who understands that their skill is the last critical touch before installation. If you are the type of professional who takes pride in creating a flawless, consistent surface and enjoys the structured flow of a production environment, this role offers a stable opportunity to apply your craft to high-quality projects every single day.

About the Role and Our Team

This full-time position is a core part of our production workflow, focusing on the finishing stage of our cabinetry, joinery, and renovation projects. You won’t just be applying paint; you’ll be ensuring that every timber and MDF surface is perfectly prepared and coated to meet both aesthetic and durability standards. You’ll join a collaborative team where your work directly contributes to the final presentation of kitchens, bathrooms, and architectural elements that our clients will enjoy for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing surfaces by removing old coatings, repairing timber, filling cracks, and smoothing everything down to create a perfect, even base for finishing.
  • Mixing and preparing paints, stains, and sealers to achieve the precise colour, texture, and consistency required for each specific project.
  • Applying finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with a steady hand, ensuring an even coat and a professional result every time.
  • Installing protective or decorative wall finishes like wallpaper, paying close attention to pattern matching and clean trimming.
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace by thoroughly cleaning all tools, brushes, and equipment after each task.
  • Occasionally assisting with minor repairs or restoration work on timber trim or glass within frames, supporting the broader team effort.

Skills and Experience

We’re looking for a reliable team player with a sharp eye for detail. The right person for this role will have:

  • At least one year of full-time, hands-on experience in professional painting or dedicated surface preparation.
  • A strong, natural focus on detail and the ability to produce consistently high-quality, uniform finishes.
  • A reliable, motivated work ethic and the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions carefully.

What We Offer?

  • We believe in recognising and rewarding skilled work.
  • annual salary range of $76,600 to $78,000,
  • The satisfaction of working on tangible, high-quality projects from start to finish, seeing the direct result of your craftsmanship.
  • A structured, production-based environment where you can focus on honing your skills and contributing to a seamless workflow.
  • The opportunity to become an integral part of a team that values quality and takes pride in its collective output.
